About Spencer Lacrosse Club

The Spencer Lacrosse Club was formed in 2000 through the merger of the Kenton and Beckenham Lacrosse Clubs. Spencer brings together the best of the old Kenton and Beckenham clubs - a tradition of playing hard on the pitch, with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the clubhouse.

Where is Spencer?

Spencer is located in Earlsfield, South London, England.

See our contacts page for how to find the club, including an on-line map.

Kenton had been a force in the south for many years and during the 1990's had won all the major honours. Beckenham have been instrumental in the development of youth Lacrosse in London and Spencer has one of the most developed junior programmes in London.

The Spencer Club facilities include excellent grass pitches, a floodlite astroturf pitch for hockey, numerous tennis courts and indoor squash courts. The clubhouse was refurbished during 2011 with new changing facilities for men and women and an outside patio area for when the sun is shining. The general purpose main hall area and of course, the bar, is where we spend most time post games.

How to Join the Club

Step 1 - Come down, join in and meet us

Joining the club is easy. We recognise lacrosse may be a new sport to some so we always welcome new faces to join us for practice sessions, social events and non-competitive games. Then, if you like what you see, you just need to complete the relevant membership form.

Step 2 - Club Membership Form

A Senior Membership Form needs to be completed and given to the Club Secretary or another club officer (see contacts page). Those aged under 18 need to complete the relevant Junior Membership Form. Forms will be available at pre-season events and, eventually, downloadable from this web page.

Once accepted by the club, an annual membership subscription must be paid. This covers the majority of running costs for the club, e.g. league fees and coaching.
